On the 10th August 2016, HMRC launched the long awaited consultation on salary sacrifice. This follows the March 2016 budget announcement that the Government remain concerned about the growth of salary sacrifice schemes. One of the principal aims of the consultation is to level the playing field between employees and employers who use salary sacrifice and benefit from the tax advantages, and those who do not.

As the current proposals appear to have a number of fundamental implications for those involved in the management of benefits, we want to ensure our clients and future clients are prepared for the impact.

The Government has set the Autumn Statement for 23rd November 2016, when we expect to hear more on the exact outcomes. To find out what this means for you, and to help you understand the outcomes and implications for your organisation and your employees, please join us on the 1st December for our Salary Sacrifice briefing where you will hear from Aon thought leaders and industry experts on the subject.

We are certain this event will interest anyone involved in the operation of salary sacrifice arrangements, especially where flexible benefits are involved.
